Beautifully located little gem of a cafe set in the lovely Como Recreation area on George's River. It is located near the Marina and "Tidal Baths" if you are like us and unfamiliar with the location. Food was ample, very fresh and tasteful for an excellent seafood platter. Service was unbeatable with some great advice especially from Shaun. Thanks to all, very pleased all round.
Bought my parents a seafood platter for here and they went a week or so ago. They absolutely raved about it and they eat out most nights. Said the service was top notch and friendly and the platter was delicious. Thanks for ensuring that your customers have an enjoyable visit!
We did the Como Bridge walk with our babies and stopped at this cafe. We wanted to get coffee and something simple to eat but was greeted by an unhappy staff who turned us away saying all the tables were reserved for another hr. More than half the tables were empty. We would have asked for takeaways (staff didn’t offer either) but the attitude of the staff made us not bother. It’s such a shame as this cafe would have been the perfect local spot to hang out at after a walk.
A waste of a venue in a very beautiful spot. I have both dined in and had takeaway here on a handful of visits to pleasure point. The staff, always short and somewhat rude. The food, below average. The coffee, well I usually stop in Jannali on the way in for a much better brew. It’s unfortunate that such a desirable cafe location is so cheaply and carelessly operated. They’re fortunate to have the location and a captive audience. It seems mainly visitors/tourists dine here while the locals already know to avoid. I recommend bringing your own picnic and enjoying the views from the park nearby.
The Burgers at Blackfish Cafe & Grill are the best in town, worth the drive from the city. They have the formula of patty, cheese, veges and bun, just right! Try one, you'll be dreaming of them for years to come.
